  as a teenager back in the 1970's i once asked the question, how can they declare peace and security if the king of the north [soviet union] is to storm with many chariots?

  i got the "what kind of question is that?

  " response.. then in the 1980's i said "if it wasn'nt for the 1914 generation dying off, i don't see the slightest indication that babylon the great is going to be destroyed anytime soon.

  I was always told that if I had a question about something just to wait on Jehovah and if I was right there would be some new light on it when I was in my early 20's and at Bethel. I was told to remember this brother who was super faithful who had a burning problem with something but he just waited on Jehovah and 20 years latter on the front of a WT was the answer to his question and it was the way he had always felt. So Jehovah blessed him for waiting and not running ahead of the slave. (what ever)

  Stuipidly I beleived it for so long even though it truly did not make sense.

  The Governing Body Have Stabbed Many Old Bethelites In The Back By Not Taking Care Of Them In Their Old Age

  these guys are real company men when they have mass lay off of older bethelites tossing them to the curb and making the congregation they are assigned to carry some of the load, so that the watchtower corporation can cut costs of providing for these nolonger young people who have devoted theirs lives to the corporation.. they are heartless bastards aren't they?

  i wonder what kind of undercurrent this is causing at headquartes?.

  i have seriously been thinking about my life course (like any other human being) but especially in the light of past events and where i am standing now.

  my posts here show that i have (like most of us) still a good way to go until i have shredded every part of my cultish past.

  at one side it will always be part of who you are and why you are now thinking, behaving in a certain way on the other hand we have to let go.

  Leaving Jehovah's Witnesses is a Negative, Depressing Thing To Do, but....

  over the years since i left jehovahs witnesses, one of the more fascinating things to observe, and really to me, the most important, is what to do after you leave.. to be sure, no one leaves because of a positive experience.

  and therein lies the issues with leaving.

  basically, people leave in three general ways: 1. they, like myself, resign or leave due to a disagreement.

  Please do not stop posting Grace. So many on here need you. I know you truly helped me, it would be such a shame to let a few stupid people stop you from being here. It breaks my heart to think you will not be here anymore.

  We need you. Please stay. You really helped me so much and I know you have helped so many others. Those of us who you have touched in our lives will never forget you.
